Reachable from Perth by car, bus, or train, it is a mere 15-minute drive away or a pleasant 600 metre walk from Cottesloe Station if you're on the Fremantle line.

Cottesloe Beach is halfway between Perth and Fremantle. It’s 7km away from the famous Fremantle and about 14 kilometres (8.7 miles), or less than 30 minutes drive, from Perth city centre. Public buses frequently leave from Perth's Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.
Trains run from Perth Station to Cottesloe Station every 15 minutes and get you there in less than 20 minutes on the Fremantle Line. .The Cottesloe station is 600 metres from the beach and during the summer months, there's a free shuttle bus known as the Cott Cat that will take you to the beach.
